The Coon Lake Improvement District (CLID) is a political subdivision of the State of Minnesota established in 2008 by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners (Resolution #2008-10). CLID is a local unit of government partially funded by a special taxation district authorized by Minnesota Statute 103B, Lake Improvement Districts.

The mission of CLID is to serve as a steward of the Coon Lake community, to protect, preserve, and improve the recreational and overall quality of the lake. CLID works cooperatively with the Coon Lake Improvement Association and County and State Agencies to accomplish their goals to:

  • Eliminate the infestation of nuisance aquatic vegetation;
  • Improve overall water quality; and
  • Improve the quality of recreation and overall lake utilization

The Coon Lake Improvement District holds its monthly meetings every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7 PM at the Coon Lake Community Center Clubhouse at 182 Forest Road, Wyoming, Minnesota 55092

Annual Membership Meeting of the CLID is on the fourth Wednesday in July
