*Lake George meeting

The Lake George Improvement District (LGID) is charged with overseeing the well-being of Lake George and to preserve and protect the quality of lake water and shoreland.  A major LGID function is to monitor and control the spread of Eurasian Water Milfoil and Curly Leaf Pondweed.

The LGID was initiated by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners and established by the Oak Grove’s City Council on January 26, 2009. The LGID and the Lake George Conservation Club work together to maintain lake quality and address aquatic invasive weeds in the lake.  The LGID Board of Directors are

Lake George Improvement District meetings are held at Oak Grove City Hall and are open to the public. Lake property owners are encouraged to attend and be part of future decisions on management of the lake.
